What is CUBE?

CUBE: having three dimensions; the third power of a quantity

Simply put, CUBE is a system used to deliver digital brand experiences. This includes:

  • playing music in store
  • playing audio announcements in store
  • playing music and informational messaging on-hold
  • playing digital signage
  • connecting in-store digital experiences with social media
  • connecting in-store digital experiences with mobile and more!

If you’re a smaller retailer or hospitality business, you probably want to discover CUBE's in-store business music offering.

If you’re a larger retailer or hospitality business, our CUBEngage service helps you create meaningful brand experiences for your customers.

And if you’re a content provider, music library or on-hold service provider, you will want to discover how CUBE can help you deliver a superior product and service to your clients.

You need a delivery and playback system for your digital in-store or on-hold content. Imagine that you had infinite resources to dream up and make your own, ideal media player system. Lets call this “the pony” (as in, “daddy I want a pony!”)

So: if you could make your own ideal media player technology, what would you put into it?

Well, we guess that you would first try to make it cost as little as possible, so your margins are protected. And you would also want to build it to be as reliable as you could, so it lasts forever. (You’ll have to figure out how to balance those two things against each other).

You would try to future-proof it, so you wouldn’t need to keep replacing units if you ever wanted to introduce new services or features later.

For sure, you would have it be able to download its content over the network.

But you’d also throw in USB, so it could be updated even when the network wasn’t available.

You would want to make management of messages take as little work as possible, so you would set things up so that stale messages expire automatically on the appointed date, all by themselves. (And while you’re at it, you’d also allow promotional messages to be loaded well ahead of time, but outfit with enough smarts so they’ll wait until the proper date, before they go live).

Then, you would arrange to choose from the cream of the crop of music suppliers. This would allow you to offer every one of your clients the best possible music experience.

For clients that needed it, you might give them an LCD screen if they wanted to see what’s playing or wanted to be able to change the channel, but for the others you would leave it out, so that you didn’t have to pay for it when it wasn’t needed.

You would probably next try to make it as easy as possible for your clients and your installers to get your equipment installed. In fact, if you could, you would try to let your equipment talk your customers through any network setup, so your staff don’t have to.

And you might give your installers a special mobile app that they could run on their phones or tablets, to help them set up the system and to run diagnostics efficiently.

If your customers called in for support, you would want to help them as quickly as possible. So you would give your system the ability to communicate to each player instantaneously, even if its behind a firewall, allowing you to change volume or even programming while your customer is still on the phone.

In fact, you would try to add the ability for you to listen in remotely to what your player is actually playing.

And you would do all of this without needing your customer to do anything special on their firewall. You would make sure that the equipment you gave them was highly secure and PCI scan compliant, so that they and you never have to worry about security.

If you could do this, what do you think would happen?

Well: for starters we think that both your clients and your staff will say you’re the Best. Boss. Ever!

We’d like to let you in on a secret: We’ve already done all the work for you!
